BKG Design, formerly Budget Kitchen and Bath, is Pittsburgh’s premier place to buy a new kitchen. With more than 30 years of experience, our designers take your ideas and develop a virtual reality drawing of your own dream kitchen.
The showrooms sit in the North Hills and the South Hills, and the cabinets are put together at the build shop in Elizabeth. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with the best products on the market. Stop into either showroom and we’ll get started.

How it works
The design comes first.

Come in
Walk-ins are welcome at both showrooms. If you want to be sure a designer is free when you arrive, call the showroom closest to you and we’ll set a time.

Bring your measurements
We don’t do in-home estimates. Take your measurements with our measure guide and email them over or bring them in. Before install, the team double checks every one of them.

See it drawn
Your designer looks at how the space works now, then lays out the options and puts your kitchen in a colorized 3D rendering. You pick the layout from there.

Get it built
Cabinets come to the build shop in Elizabeth, get constructed, and go out to your house. Our in-house contractors handle the install.

In the showroom
What you can actually pick from.
- Cabinet lines
- A Value-Series line, a semi-custom line through Timberlake, and a Contractor Series built for customers who have done a kitchen before. Full door style selection is on the floor at North Hills and South Hills.
- Counters
- Quartz, granite, laminate and butcher block. Stone countertops are installed by the company the slab is purchased through. Laminate goes in with your cabinets.
- Box construction
- Every cabinet in the value series comes with half-inch grade-A plywood box construction, dovetail undermount full-extension hardwood drawer boxes, soft-close drawers and doors, solid wood doors, and low-VOC stained or painted UV coatings. Not available in Winston Chocolate or Avon Chocolate.
- Hardware
- Over 100 styles of door knobs and pulls. Samples are on hand in the showrooms, and the catalogs cover everything else.
- Inside the cabinets
- Trash kits, pull-out spice racks, pantry cabinets, wine racks, glass inserts, roll-out trays, single-tier silverware separators and sink base tip-out trays.
- What we also do
- Complete space design and layout, customized kitchen cabinets, center islands, granite and quartz countertops, and investment property cabinets. If we’re installing your cabinetry we can help with most of the rest of it, including plumbing, electric and wall removal.
We no longer design or install bathrooms, though we can still help with vanities and vanity countertops. Flooring and tile backsplashes are bought elsewhere, and with the purchase of a kitchen we can help with installation.

We travel within a 50 mile radius of Elizabeth, PA, where the build shop is. If you’re outside that range we can still help with the design of your kitchen and the ordering of materials, though we won’t be able to install it for you.
